The tote bag was a design project created for Sputnik, a faculty-chosen student design staff that produces print collateral for the California College of the Arts. I worked with the fundraising department to create a tote bag that would be given to donors at school events. I used the A in the school’s logo as a repeating pattern in the background to resemble high-end handbag designs by Louis Vuitton or Gucci. To give it a more artistic style, I layered hand drawn lines and circles to create a unique pattern that resembles painter’s strokes on canvas. The various shades of red maintain the school’s
signature color.
