This is the O’ Brother, Where Art Thou screenplay reinterpreted with experimental type treatments. The movie, based on Homer’s Odyssey, follows the classic “hero’s journey”: a road full of challenges and diversions. I chose to focus on these elements by including a time line of text that runs throughout the book and is interrupted by dialogue and small bound books representing the story diversions. I also emphasized the main character’s personality through typeface choices, color and scale.
