The woman in the poster is my grandmother and the text behind her is the lyrics to a traditional Mexican song about a white dove that sings a sorrowful song. I captured the spirit of my grandmother in this poster: a beautiful Mexican-American woman who lived a difficult life. This poster was an experiment in layering clear ink
